Molded from actual rocks weighing thousands of pounds found in the mountains, our incredibly realistic and relatively lightweight Estate Boulder reproductions are manufactured from cast stone to withstand a variety of climates with minimal maintenance and care.
They are the practical and affordable alternative to the challenge of finding, moving and installing a real boulder on which to mount a plaque for tree or flag pole dedications and memorials or to honor special events or achievements, donors, outstanding employees and civic groups, and commemorate other occasions.
These 350-450 lb. exact replicas of 2 1/2-ton boulders are hollow, open at the bottom and are shipped FREE on pallets via common carrier to their final destination where two or three men can usually easily place them without the need for heavy equipment. Each model includes a custom cast bronze plaque which is mounted in a hand-chiseled area in the boulder before it is shipped, eliminating the cost for a stone mason to create a recess so the plaque is flush with the surface.
Heavy-duty rebar hooks manufactured underneath each boulder, and simple instructions for locking a chain to one end of them while the rest of it is embedded in a cement-filled hole, allow for additional security.
Normal turnaround is 25 business days from the date plaque approval is received. Rush service is available for a $75 additional fee which will reduce by half the usual 4-week production time for casting the bronze plaque.
